Model United Nations Symposium 2019

The Nile University of Nigeria Model United Nations (NUNMUN) Organised its first symposium on Thursday 2nd May 2019 themed: Building a Culture of Model United Nations.

Prominent well-recognised figures in the Model UN community were invited. Such as Mr Chika Nwaozuzu the Chairman & Director of the Nigerian Society of Model United Nations, Mr M.I Abdulbakai, the Chief Director of Abuja International Model United Nations, Mr Muhammed Bamalli; a multiple attendee of model UN & the Ag. Director of Student Affairs Department at Nile University of Nigeria, and Dr Sherrif Ghali, a senior lecturer at the University of Abuja and the Staff Advisor for Abuja International Model UN.

The event ran smoothly and students were sensitised on the niceties of the Model UN & its importance

Nile Got Talent 2019

The Charity Club in collaboration with Touch Lives Club and Student Representative Council (SRC) also organised its yearly talent show. Its the third of its kind in the school and lots of students having different talents to present participated and showcased their abilities and gift.It has (8) participants and the Judges had to go through rigorous process in selecting the best amongst them.After many performances, the winner was chosen and issued gift.As always, the talent show was also a means f getting funds for charity work to be done by the club in orphan homes and IDP camps around the country

Maiden Paintball Series

The Maiden Paintball Series organized by the Student Affairs Department in the university premises had in participation a total number of 11 teams.

The tournament was open to all and a breakthrough was achieved considering the fact it was the first of its kind. After hours of battle between the participating teams,  the final battle which took place between the two best teams: GARIBANLAR and SAMBISA RANGERS.

 

 

 

 

 

 

It was an intense battle and finally it ended with the GARIBANLAR TEAM winning the tournament and carting away with the prize money of N30,000 and Gold Medals while the SAMBISA RANGERS went away with only Silver Medals.

Although the tournament finished successfully, it couldn’t have been possible to see them in pictures without the help of our expert photographer Fatih BILEN (@photogrfabi)
