Alumni Class of 2013 Picnic (21st Jan, 2017)
As a tradition at the Nile University of Nigeria, graduation does not mean goodbye! The University prides itself with its Alumni. Every week a variety of events are organized by the Alumni office, the most popular of which has been the weekly Football games.
This time around, the Alumni office had something special in mind. On Saturday, the 21st of January 2017 a picnic was organized for the Alumni class of 2013 at the University campus. This gathering served as a great avenue to for our Alumni to network and re-establish lost connections. It was also an opportunity for the Alumni office to brief our beloved Alumni on new developments at the University and plans for the future.
Furthermore, plans were discussed on how to improve the Nile University of Nigeria Alumni Association. It was indeed a joyous occasion as those in attendance were visibly overjoyed to see their colleagues.
In his closing remarks, the Alumni coordinator Mr Lukman expressed his sincere gratitude to all those that were able to honour the invitation. He reminded them they were always welcome at the University and their suggestions would always be valued. He also urged them to always make sure their contact details are up to date to facilitate easy communication and dissemination of information.
The executive member’s of the programmer’s club of Nile University of Nigeria held a meeting with the Dean of Faculty of Natural & Applied science, Prof. Nnanna Agwu to see how the faculty will help the club move forward. Those in the meeting include the club the coordinators: Mr. Ahmad Talha , Mr. Mahboob, Asim Yazid and Ismail Luqman. From the excos we have Fatima Umar(Secretary), Hajara Kabeer (Event coordinator), Fatima Yusuf (Event Coordinator2) and Fatima Yuguda (PRO).The meeting was fruitful and the dean as well showed his interest and ready to assist in any way possible.
